Tenaciousness
is a competency. What are the behaviors that you have used (or developed) to
keep up with the requirements of this course?
I’ve had to set strict times that I dedicate to this class.
I try reading ahead to stay on top of my assignments. I’ve had to keep myself disciplined.
Tenaciousness
is also about attitude. Talk about a moment or two when you felt like "giving
up." What pulled you through? Do you feel like you've developed a
tenacious attitude during the past two months?
There
have been a couple assignments where I’m like how am I going to do this? For example,
I get anxious when I have to find people to interview. After working forty hours
a week and taking care of a family, I don’t know how to do it sometimes. What pulls me through is reminding myself
after this just four more classes and you’re finally done. You’re so close just
push through. Honestly, I know I don’t have the tenacious attitude. I have the let’s
get it over with attitude.
Three
tips. What are three tips you would offer next semester's student?
Advice I’d give to next semester’s students would be trying
to read ahead/ work ahead. If you procrastinate you won’t do well in this
class. Second don’t get comfortable skipping an assignment here and there.
Those three-point
assignments add up
quick. Lastly, I would say, make sure you have time to dedicate to this class. There
is a lot of work and you can’t slack off.

Hi! I completely agree with you about working ahead, having time to dedicate to the class, finding people to interview for the interviews, and your three tips for the next semester's students. However, I think that this class a lot of benefits to it especially the skills you could gain from this class but this class it very time consuming with every assignment you have to do for this class.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on being on the "home stretch"! Four more classes to go is exciting. Good for you, I wish you the best of luck! I agree about having to find interviewees for my imaginary idea is hard especially when working and managing a family. I think these interviews are silly personally. They are awkward for everyone with not a lot of outcome.
ReplyDeleteI greatly respect your work ethic and commitment to finish your last four classes. I believe the advice you gave about getting too comfortable with skipping assignments is really helpful. Also dedicating time to the class even tho there are no exams the assignments take a while to complete.
